South Valley Organizers Invite You to Celebrate San Ysidro Day

Every May for hundreds of years, New Mexican communities have come together to celebrate San Ysidro Day.  We will celebrate it this year with blessing and thanking the waters that make it possible for us to once again start the agricultural cycle.  Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we will not have a live procession.

This event WILL ONLY be a livestream to keep everybody safe. Please accompany us online for a Facebook livestream on our South Valley San Ysidro Day – 2020 event page.

This year you can watch it online and then put flower petals in your own acequia to bless the life-giving waters and pray for a good agricultural year.

With prayers for your continued health and safety,

Organizers from the South Valley Regional Association of Acequias,

Circulo Solar Ollin Xochipilli,

American Friends Service Committee –

New Mexico, ACCESS,

and CESOSS
